5 ways to Make WSBK Great… AGAIN
3.) Make it an experience…

World Superbikes has to be something completely different from MotoGP and even BSB in order to work in the Motorsport market. The Paddock Show that is hosted by Michael Hill is one step towards that but there is more that has to be done.
The first thing would be to stop charging ridiculous prices for those that decide to come on the day. Nearly £50 per adult for a single day racing is obscene when you look at what is on offer. However, add in some freebies, get a good headlining band on for an after-event party and offer the most entertaining pit walk and people will actually give the championship half a chance.
When in Italy, make it the authentic Italian experience, offer some quality food and have some old Ducati’s/ other Italian manufacturers on display. When in Thailand, bring some tigers or elephants down the pit lane, have some Golden Pagoda statues too – just make it completely mental and unique! It doesn’t have to make sense but it can be the craziest, most mental experience! It sounds weird and will probably never happen, but imagine getting a pillion lap of the Chang Circuit in Buriram on the back of an elephant. You don’t get that in MotoGP….
