F1 Driver Ratings: Monaco 2018
Daniel Ricciardo finally got a Monaco Grand Prix win after heartbreak two years ago in 2016. It wasn’t easy despite him topping every practice and qualifying session. More on his amazing drive in another article. Sebastian Vettel pushed very hard to try and steal the win but in the end he had to settle for second. Lewis Hamilton struggled but held on to a 3rd place which he should be quite happy with.

Daniel Ricciardo takes the perfect 10/10 after his stunning drive after losing his MGU-K which would have cost him around 2 seconds per lap. He made no errors all weekend on the tricky Monaco circuit and topped every session and led every lap of the race.
Lance Stroll was struggling from the very start of the weekend and punctures in the race didn’t help. The Canadian lacked pace compared to his teammate as well and we all know that you have to at least match your teammate in F1. Max Verstappen’s rating of a 5.5 was a tricky one for me to decide because he ultimately cost himself a good chance of the win and his maiden pole position. Despite a good race, he didn’t keep it out of the wall and he cost him and the team a lot of potential points.
