
WRC Rally Australia cancelled following safety fears over wild fires
Following growing fears about out of control wild fires spreading rapidly, The final WRC round of the season, Rally Australia has been cancelled it was announced by officials early Tuesday Morning.
It’s a disappointing but understandable way to end the 2019 championship season. Earlier on Monday, the WRC teams were reported to have been voicing anger that the announcement to cancel wasn’t made earlier by organizers.
The wild fires as of Sunday morning in the area saw 72 active fires across the state, leaving three people dead, five missing and up to 30 injured.
