BSB: Bradley Ray stormed to victory in the eBay Sprint Race at Knockhill
It has been the Bradley Ray show when it has counted so far in Scotland. After setting a new lap record around Knockhill during qualifying it looked inevitable that he would win a race this weekend. In race one Ray was flying and won by a comfortable margin.
Before the race had even began there was drama on the sighting lap as Christian Iddon and Josh Owens came together. Because of the crash Owens could not take part and Iddon pulled out after two laps.
As soon as the lights went out it was obvious that Ray was determined to take victory. Ray took the holeshot and never looked back. Ray destroyed the competition around a small track like Knockhill. He ended up with a winning margin of 1.676 seconds.
Ray took his third race win of the 2022 season and looks like him and the Yamaha are a match made in heaven.
The Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha man ended his Saturday in perfect style. The 25-year-old will be looking to continue to extend his championship lead tomorrow as he starts from pole for race two.

Joining Ray up on the podium was fellow Yamaha man, Jason O’Halloran, and home hero, Rory Skinner.
O’Halloran rode a great race and backed up the amazing form he showed at Donington Park last time out. The Australian is truly back in business and will be one to watch tomorrow and for the rest of the season.

Skinner was involved in a great battle for the final podium position all race long. The Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Kawasaki rider had to contest with Kyle Ryde, Danny Buchan and Lee Jackson. Eventually the Scotsman managed to secure third place.

The 2021 BSB Champion Tarran Mackenzie was unable to start race one. Mackenzie had crashed twice this weekend and wrecked his R1. The McAMS Yamaha team tried their best to get Mackenzie on track, but were unable to.
