
MotoGP: 2024 winter presentation and test schedule
With the 2024 MotoGP season on the horizon, we looked at what you can look forward to during the winter.
Starting off the 2024 pre-season calendar will be the highly anticipated Gresini Racing Team unveiling. The Marquez brothers will lift off the covers of their Ducatis, which are set to be title contenders this year. Gresini is the first MotoGP team to unveil their bike on the 20th of January.
Two days later, on the 22nd of January, the factory Ducati team will show off their bikes for the upcoming season. It is a big year for Ducati and Francesco Bagnaia, who is hoping to win a third consecutive title. Ducati will also unveil its WorldSBK machine at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team have their team launch on the 24th of January – just two days later. The team have a new sponsor for 2024, with potentially a new look for their machine.
From new looks to new teams, the Trackhouse Racing MotoGP team will show off their Aprilias on the 26th of January. The American team have experienced great success in NASCAR and hopes to have the same success with Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez.
The GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 squad have scheduled their team launch for the 29th of January. They will retain Augusto Fernandez this year, with the highly anticipated Pedro Acosta joining him. The GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team will be the last team launch before track action begins.
Sepang

From the first to the third of February, MotoGP will spring to life in Malaysia for the Sepang Shakedown. Not every rider will take part in the test as it is used for test riders and some full-time riders, such as the rookie Pedro Acosta.
However, after the test concludes, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing will show off its 2024 machine. Fabio Quartararo continues to develop the M1, with Alex Rins joining him as he moves from LCR Honda.
The official Sepang Test will take place from the sixth to the eighth of February for a further three days of action. All riders will be allowed to take part in the test, with daily round-ups taking place on motogp.com.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will show off their bike on the 12th of February after the preseason test. They will be swiftly followed by Repsol Honda, which will celebrate 30 years of sponsorship with Repsol. It is a massive year for Repsol Honda, with Marc Marquez leaving to join Gresini.
The satellite team, LCR Honda, is preparing to launch on the 15th of February, with Johann Zarco joining Takaaki Nakagami this year. The penultimate launch will be factory Aprilia Racing, which will unveil the team on the 18th of February.
Qatar
The teams will head to Qatar at the end of February to take part in the Qatar Test for the first time since 2021, which will last two days. It will be their last opportunity to try any new parts before the opening round in March. The test will take place on February 19-20.
Finally, Prima Pramac Racing will be the final team to lift off the covers on the 28th of February. Franco Morbidelli will join the 2023 runner-up, Jorge Martin, at the Prima Pramac Ducati this season.
However, if you’re only interested in racing, the first MotoGP race weekend will take place in March. Bikes will exit the pitlane for the opening race weekend from the eighth to the 10th of March. It is looking to be an incredibly exciting season with concessions in place to make racing closer and help manufacturers.
