Bikes: OMG BMW set to make Road Racing debut
OMG Racing will enter both the Isle Of Man TT and the North West 200 as part of their 2020 Campaign, the team’s opening year with BMW machinery.
Alongside their 2020 British Superbike campaign, OMG Racing will be competing in the Isle Of Man TT and the North West 200.
The team are scheduled to announce their rider line-up by the end of the week, but we do know that they will run the BMW S1000RR in the Superbike and Superstock classes, and the Yamaha R6 in the Supersport class.
“Road racing is something which has been on our radar for a while now but was a big investment in terms of time and resources, the team ownership agreed that it was something we couldn’t pass up on though – so it became a case of assembling a team capable of winning.” – Paul Curran.
OMG Racing made their debut in 2018 and have come a long way since then, the team took their debut win at the opening round of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone with Irishman Josh Elliott.
For 2020, the OMG Racing Team have switched from Suzuki machinery to the BMW S1000RR, the bike that saw Christian Iddon claim the 2019 Riders’ Cup. The team will field Luke Mossey and Hector Barbera.
The first rider announcement for the team’s inaugural road campaign is expected on December 19th.
