Bradley Ray Crowned the 2022 British Superbike Champion
After 31 races this season Ray has been confirmed as the 2022 Champion. Throughout this season Ray has been on a different level that we have not seen from him before. The Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha Team put together a perfect bike and team for Ray to claim the title this year.
After jumping on the Yamaha in preseason it looked like Ray could challenge for the title as he instantly gelled with the machine. 23 podiums and nine race wins later the 25-year-old and his Yamaha R1 have done the business.
To win his title Ray beat the likes of Tarran Mackenzie, Glenn Irwin, Tommy Bridewell and Jason O’Halloran.
Ray now joins a long list of incredible riders who have won the British Superbike Championship before him.
With Rays 2023 plans still unannounced it does look likely that Ray will make the next step to the World Championship. It appears Ray will join the MotoXRacing Team in World Superbikes for 2023. Ray may only compete in the European rounds but just getting the WorldSBK is a great step for the British Champion.
With two more races to go this season could Ray end the season with a race win at home?
