Breaking News: Luke Stapleford joins Brad Ray at Hawk Racing Suzuki for 2019
Luke Stapleford will join Brad Ray at Buildbase Hawk Racing Suzuki for the 2019 BSB season after 3 season in World Supersport.
Luke Stapleford is heading back to the Bennets British Superbike Championship in 2019 to join Brad Ray who will be entering his third season with the team, Stapleford heads back to the championship for the first time since 2015 when he won the British Supersport Champioship with Profile Racing.
In 2016 both Luke and Profile Racing headed to the world stage contesting in the World Supersport series where in his first season he managed to seal 16th in the world standings with the highlight of the season coming at Qatar when he snatched pole position for the final race of 2016.
The following year, he finished the championship in 10th place, which included several top 10 finishes with the best result coming at his home race at Donington Park, finishing just just shy of a podium, again highlighting his talent in the 600 class.
Stapleford had a trying run last year with a mid-season switch of machinery from Triumph to Yamaha, he managed to seal 9th in the championship with a best result of 5th coming in Qatar and Assen, though failed to make the top ten after his mid-season move.
Stapleford will make his debut in the Superbike class with arguably one of the strongest outfits in the paddock and with testing just round the corner, the 27 year old will be eager to prove himself.
