The 2022 British Superbike Championship will go down as one of the best years in the Championships history. 13 different riders stood on the podium across the 33 races throughout the year. 10 of the 13 podium finishers also stood on top of the rostrum as race winners. Out of the six manufacturers on the grid five of them were also victorious throughout the year.

The Championship was decided at the final round of the season at Brands Hatch. The Champion for the 2022 season is the Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha rider, Bradley Ray. Ray had 23 podiums throughout the season with nine of these podiums being race wins.

The title battle at the end of the year came down between three riders and three manufacturers. These riders were Ray, Glenn Irwin and Tommy Bridewell. With the manufacturers being Yamaha, Honda and Ducati.
The other five riders that featured in British Superbikes Showdown were: Lee Jackson, Jason O’Halloran, Kyle Ryde, Tarran Mackenzie and Rory Skinner. These eight riders made the season a continuous battle between four manufacturers.

The 11 rounds of the 2022 season across Britain offered up the best 33 races of the season. 41 different riders took part in the 2022 season, including the former Moto2 Champion, Tito Rabat. The amount of talented riders on the grid really shows what a great domestic category that BSB is.
Not only are their some incredibly talented riders in BSB their were also six competitive manufacturers. Five different manufacturers took race wins in 2022 including: Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Ducati and Kawasaki.
If things continue this way in 2023 then the Championship will continue to grow and the racing will only get better.
