BSB: GO Racing SGR anounnce McGreevy & Claridge for British GP2 Championship
The former National Superstock 600 champion, Korie McGreevy will join Harvey Claridge in the Quattro Group British GP2 Championship this season, with GO Racing SGR.
Claridge has one season experience with Go Racing SGR and is now ready for success in 2022. His new teammate, McGreevy, has made the switch to the GP2 class after finishing 15th in last year’s Supersport Championship.
Claridge said: “After a very intense first season with little testing I’m excited to get back on the bike with this great team and continue to progress in the GP2 class.”
McGreevy said: “I’m very excited to join the team; they have initially impressed me with their ambition and enthusiasm. I believe it will give me the best chance to do what we want to achieve. Very much looking forward to testing in Spain at the start of March. Many thanks to my sponsors as always for making it, along with Glenn Irwin for his input.”
Stephen Kinghorn said: ‘It is great to be involved in this exciting project helping to develop two up and coming riders and develop the team’s GP2 bike. Bring on the racing.”
Mark Sadler, Technical Director concluded: “I’m really happy to go into the 2022 season with the combination of Harvey and Korie on the team. After a strong learning year from Harvey in 2021, having Korie come into the team with his experience and determination is sure to move the whole team forward and challenge for the title this year.
“It’s great to have continued support from SGR, Nova Racing and new sponsors JAB Racing.”
