
BSB: Liam Delves joins TAG Racing Honda at Brands Hatch
Liam Delves will step in for Hector Barbera at Brands Hatch for TAG Racing Honda.
Liam Delves is set to make a return to the British Superbike Championship for Round six of at Brands Hatch. He will join the TAG Racing Honda team as he stands in for the injured Hector Barbera.
Delves recently announced his departure from the Rapid CDH Kawasaki team after a mutual decision was made. He parted ways with the CDH team which he first joined during the 2021 BSB season. The Rapid CDH Kawasaki team is currently 19th in the team standings, ahead of NP Racing Kawasaki.
Delves will ride the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP which is a proven race winner in the British Superbike class. He has also previously worked close with the TAG Racing Honda team in the past.
The TAG Racing Honda team is currently 16th in the team standings, with seven points scored so far.
Liam Delves said: “I am excited to be going to Brands Hatch this weekend with TAG after some recent uncertainty. My ambitions to succeed remain unchanged, and I have had some incredible support from fans and sponsors alike.
“I have spent a lot of time both personally and professionally with the TAG Racing team; we work really well together. I want to thank everyone involved in making this happen and I want to wish Hector a speedy recovery.”
Gary Winfield, Team Manager added: “It is the right decision for Hector to miss this Round as he continues to rebuild the strength in his left leg since the race two incident at Snetterton. Liam is a confident rider with a keen desire to push forwards and bring back some competitive points. Liam has proven himself to be a really adaptable rider and as a team, we feel that Liam will gel quickly with the machine and enjoy some success this weekend.”
