BSB: TeamVal-Tech announce 2023 line-up
TeamVal-Tech has announced their line-up for the 2023 British Supersport and National Junior Superstock Championships.
Eunan McGlinchey and Louis Valleley will pilot the TeamVal-Tech Yamaha R6s this season. McGlinchey will continue in British Supersport with Valleley continuing in National Junior Superstock.
Louis Valleley finished the season in sixth position in the National Junior Superstock Championship. He scored a total of 131 points throughout the year, finishing ahead of Sam Laffins and Asher Durham.
Valleley claimed two race wins throughout the season, claiming them at Knockhill and Brands Hatch. He would claim a further four podiums throughout the year, onboard the TeamVal-Tech Yamaha.
Eunan McGlinchey will switch machinery this season, after racing for Gearlink Kawasaki at the start of 2022. He finished 26th in the Championship standings, after parting ways with Gearlink Kawasaki after Round one.
Outside of the BSB paddock, McGlinchey raced for the McAdoo squad, riding their Kawasaki Supertwin and Supersport bike. He would compete in the USBK Championship, battling Alastair Seeley throughout the year.
McGlinchey said: “I am really pleased to be joining TeamVal-Tech Racing for the 2023 season. It is going to be my first time on a Yamaha and I can’t wait to get going. The last couple of years have been full of ups and downs, so let’s hope that 2023 can change that and get back to where we know we can. I also want to say a massive thanks to all my sponsors for making this possible.”
Valleley said: “I’m very excited to have another year in the Junior Superstock class on the TeamVal-Tech Racing Yamaha R6. The team has put together a good package for me this year and I can’t wait to get the season underway.
“I would like to thank the team and my sponsors around me for believing in me, as I feel we can have a strong year on a grid that looks to be very competitive.”
Team owner, Iain Valleley added: “This opportunity has come as a massive compliment, as Eunan is recognised as a high-class rider and has raced at world level in the past, returning to British Supersport he aims to succeed with good results.
“With Eunan making the transition from a Kawasaki and now riding Yamaha R6, we had the team all very excited to have Eunan with us on the team, and we can only imagine what the young man can do help to make the team better than last year.”
