BSB: Trystan Finocchiaro joins Gino Rea’s Ready4Racing Vision Team
Trystan Finocchiaro is set to pilot one of the Team R4R Vision Kawasaki ZX636R’s for the 2021 Pirelli National Superstock 600 campaign.
The 22-year-old spent 2020 learning the ropes in his debut season in the Superstock 600 category after graduating from the Junior Supersport, whereby he finished 3rd in 2019.
The Ready4Racing Team first ventured into the BSB paddock in 2019, competing in the Superstock 600 class in both 2019 and 2020.
Managed by Gino Rea and Vision CPS with the aim of developing riders, the team have achieved five podiums, including one win, and six front row starts in the short time they’ve been in the category.
Trystan Finocchiaro said:
“I’m really excited to get going with the R4R Vision team. I see this as an awesome opportunity to learn and grow as a rider. Working with Gino and the team is extremely exciting as I’ve been following Gino’s career since I was 13.
“I want to utilise this experience to bring myself to podium pace, and I think this is the perfect place for me to do this with the strength of the team, the experience the guys have, and the coaching from Gino.”
Gino Rea said:
“The R4R Vision team are delighted to be taking Trystan onboard for the 2021 National Superstock 600 Championship. I have followed him for a while since his Italian name caught my eye and I like his professionalism and approach to racing. We already started working on Trystan’s fitness and nutrition regime and when COVID-19 allows, I’ll start Rider Coaching with him.
“Our expectations at the moment are only to see him learn and improve throughout the year, but once we get a few races under our belt we’ll have more realistic goals to work on. The eye is on the bigger picture, developing him as a rider to see him fighting for the Championship in 2022.”
