BSB: VisionTrack joins PBM Ducati as Title Sponsor
PBM Ducati have announced that VisionTrack will take over from Be Wiser as title sponsor for the Ducati team.
After losing Be Wiser as a title sponsor for 2020 and beyond, the reigning Bennetts British Superbike has announced that multi-award-winning video-telematics provider VisionTrack will take over as title sponsors for the Penrith-based team in 2020.
PBM Ducati has retained 2015 BSB Champion Josh Brookes who will ride alongside the experienced Christian Iddon who moves over from TYCO BMW.
The seven-time BSB Championship winning team join forces with VisionTrack, who is part of a group with a turnover in excess of £2 billion and employing over 4,500 staff, with offices throughout Europe.
“We are delighted to welcome Simon and the rest of the VisionTrack team to PBM Ducati for the 2020 season, we hope to continue our success with them on board.
“There’s a lot of pressure on us to deliver again after such a successful season in 2019 but we have the riders, the bikes, the team and importantly, the commercial partners to allow us to do that. We are now focussing on our pre-season test schedule to ensure we arrive at Silverstone in shape to defend our title.” – Paul Bird, Team Owner.
Paul Bird has just been recognised by Ducati’s CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna and Ducati Corse Sporting Director Paolo Ciabatti at their Bologna headquarters this week for his team’s outstanding performance during the past four years. During that time, they have clinched three titles and won 40 races.
The 2020 BSB season commences at Silverstone on April 10/12th next year.
