BTCC: TOCA announce revised 2021 calendar
TOCA have announced a revised BTCC calendar for 2021’s season.
The new dates push the season opener back five weeks, now scheduled for 8/9 May at Thruxton.
The changes come as the ever present COVID-19 pandemic threatens to prevent the return of fans and guests trackside.
The condensed campaign will see the British Touring Cars race at ten events, with two stops at Thruxton and Brands Hatch, with the latter’s GP layout setting the scene for the season finale in late October.
Back-to-back weekends of racing will once again feature in order to complete the tight schedule – Thruxton’s opener will be swiftly followed by Snetterton, whilst Croft and Silverstone rub shoulders in September.
