COVID-19: UK Circuits Set To Re-open as Restrictions Ease
With COVID 19 restrictions beginning to ease as of May 13th, circuits country wide are beginning to reopen their doors for owner drivers.
Lydd International Kart Circuit; Clay Pigeon Raceway and Blyton Park are among the first to release statements in which they describe their plan for reopening. Restrictions to number of drivers; staff on site and pit availability will be restricted in order to comply with social distancing.
“We are shortly ready to announce our operational guidelines (assuming the ‘R’ rate remains sensible, noting we continue to be guided by the government updates so as & when they change, so will our circuit opening/closing status change).”

Drivers wishing to attend practice sessions at these circuit’s will not be admitted entry without the full equipment necessary to pass inspection. As well as booking/paying online to avoid as much physical contact as possible. Pit spaces at all the circuits will be spaced in acord with social distancing.
Tracks with rental karts will continue to hold fire for now until the further restrictions ease.
Although there will be no dedicated race weekends, we are beginning to see tracks running test sessions to relieve those who haven’t been on track since the restrictions were put in place.
