F1 Driver Ratings: Austria 2018
Austria always seems to deliver an exciting race and amongst all of the chaos, it was Max Verstappen who took his first victory of the season. The 20-year-old held off a much improved Kimi Raikkonen whilst Sebastian Vettel retook the championship lead after Lewis Hamilton retired for the first time in 33 races.
As per usual, the order below is the finishing order from the race.

Max Verstappen and Romain Grosjean top this week’s ratings with a score of 9.5. Both drivers were at their best with a very good qualifying (even though Verstappen was hampered by his teammate on Saturday, more on that later in the week) and their race pace was stellar. Neither driver made any mistakes all weekend and it was great to see them drive so well after so much criticism earlier in the year.
Brendon Hartley received the lowest rating (4) mainly just because he lacked pace all weekend compared to his teammate Pierre Gasly. If performances like this continue through the season then I cannot see Hartley continuing in F1 next year.
