F1 Talk: 2020 Line-up Confirmed; How was our Prediction?
A few months ago, I gave my prediction as to who will be on the grid for the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship season.
Last year, my prediction was poor but this time round it is very nearly spot on.
Take a look…
Original article – F1 Talk: Predicting the 2020 driver line-up
My Prediction
Mercedes
Lewis Hamilton – Valtteri Bottas
Ferrari
Sebastian Vettel – Charles Leclerc
Red Bull
Max Verstappen – Alexander Albon
McLaren
Carlos Sainz – Lando Norris
Renault
Daniel Ricciardo – Esteban Ocon
Toro Rosso
Daniil Kvyat – Pierre Gasly
Alfa Romeo
Kimi Raikkonen – Antonio Giovinazzi
Racing Point
Lance Stroll – Sergio Perez
Haas
Kevin Magnussen – Nico Hulkenberg
Williams
George Russell – Nicholas Latifi
Apart from thinking that Nico Hulkenberg would replace Romain Grosjean at Haas, my prediction was pretty accurate.
Other than the return of Esteban Ocon, there have been no big moves in the driver market this year.
With Silly Season not delivering any surprises this year, expect some big changes next year or at the very latest in two years time as the competitive order may shake up and the drivers stock changes over time.
