Moto2: Fenati banned for two races after grabbing rivals brake
Moto2 race at San Marino saw rider Romano Fenati disqualified for grabbing the brake of Stefano Manzi during the race.
He may face further disciplinary action with many on social media calling for a lifetime ban for the troubled rider.
It’s not the first time he’s been in trouble. In 2016 he was dropped from Valentino Rossi’s VR46 for “behaviour not in line with the disciplinary rules of the team.”, He’s also switched off another riders engine during a practice start last year and he’s reportedly been known to lash out at other competitors.
What do you think? is the 2 race ban punishment enough?
**UPDATE**
Fenati’s team The Marinelli Snipers Team have said in a statement that they “shall terminate the contract with the rider Romano Fenati, from now on, for his unsporting, dangerous and damaging conduct for the image of all,”
“With extreme regret, we have to note that his irresponsible act endangered the life of another rider and can’t be apologised for in any way. The rider, from this moment, will not participate anymore to a race with the Marinelli Snipers team.”
