MotoGP: Repsol Honda to reveal 2019 challenger in Madrid tomorrow
Tomorrow at 10:30 (09:30 UK Time) the Repsol Honda Team will reveal the 2019 RCV213V in Madrid. This will be the first time the world will see five-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo in full factory colours.
Honda’s team presentation will come barely 24 hours after Jorge Lorenzo was discharged from hospital after breaking his scaphoid on Sunday meaning he will miss the crucial Sepang test. The HRC ace has had some injury set backs since his first corner incident in Aragon where Jorge Lorenzo high-sided out of turn 1, a few weeks later in Thailand the Spaniard took a worse blow after a mechanical fault again caused him to high-side.
Marc Marquez however took his first injury in Japan after celebrating his world championship-clinching race with Scott Redding and dislocating his shoulder. This has however been an ongoing issue for the 25 year old and has since had a successful operation after the final test of 2018 in Jerez.
Repsol Honda statistically have the strongest team next year with 12 world championships between the 2 riders and winning every MotoGP World Championship barring one (2011) since 2010 and only 3 of those championships have been won by Yamaha (2010, 2012 and 2015) the rest have all been the Repsol Honda Team (2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018).
This is a mouthwatering prospect for every MotoGP fan and we get our first glimpse of the 2019 challenger tomorrow morning.
