MotoGP: Rory Skinner to Wildcard in Moto2
The young Scottish rider who is impressing in British Superbikes will get a chance in Moto2 this season. The American Racing Team will give Rory Skinner the opportunity to prove himself in the MotoGP paddock at Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring.
Skinner who rides for the Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Kawasaki team in BSB is fourth in the championship. After 12 races this season Skinner has four podiums to his name and 148 championship points.
John Hopkins who is Skinner’s manager and the rider coach for American Racing has been a key part in this decision. It is great to see a young British rider with so much talent getting a chance to prove himself on the world stage.
The American Racing Team boss, Eitan Butbul, says the wildcard appearances will hopefully lead to a full-time move for 2023.
