No Mexico or Finland as MotoGP 2019 Calendar revealed
Despite talks of Mexico and Finland joining the 2019 MotoGP calendar, no new rounds will be added until an earlier of 2020, as the provisional 2019 calendar was released earlier.
Whilst no changed have taken place, there has been some changes in scheduling, with two weekends now between rounds three and four (USA and Spain, Jerez), whilst Assen and Sachsenring along with Misano and Aragón become back-to-back weekends.
There will also be back-to-back weekends with Brno and The Red Bull Ring as per 2017 and this season.
The fly away races in Japan, Australia and Malaysia will take place on consecutive weekends as normals.
The season will start a week earlier than 2018 in Qatar and finish the same week as this year.
Despite resurfacing controversy that led to the abandoned British GP this year, Silverstone has retained it’s place on the calendar – much to the disapproval of British MotoGP fans.
