
Red Bull Rookies Cup: 2022 line-up announced, O’Shea back on the grid
The provisional entry list for the 15th edition of the Red Bull Rookies Cup has been announced. 25 riders will be lining up on the grid to chase their dream of making it to MotoGP.
13 contestants who already competed in the series this year have been invited to return for another season. Among them is former British Talent Cup rider Eddie O’Shea who will be the only UK representative in 2022.
Riders from a total of 18 nations are listed and for the first time ever, an entrant from Mexico joins the series, illustrating the growing global popularity of motorcycle racing.

The Red Bull Rookies Cup has emerged has a popular pathway into Grand Prix racing with almost 50 per cent of graduates having reached the world championship classes and eight of them having won titles.
Moto3 leader Pedro Acosta triumphed in the Cup last year and both Moto2 title challenger Raul Fernandez and MotoGP defending champion Joan Mir are former contestants.
