Rental Kart Show to air on Motors TV this month!

As the motor racing season begins to wind down for most, one thing that still remains incredibly popular throughout the winter break is rental karting due to its inexpensive, fun and versatile nature.
Many enjoy rental karting as a recreational hobby, whilst others opt to race competitively in championships such as Club 100 and Daytona DMAX, however sports commentator on British Minibikes (BMB) and various motocross events, Chris Czora, has teamed up with the Rugby Kart Club and the Sutton Circuit who collectively organised a one-off event that was filmed for Motors TV.
35 drivers took part from across the Midlands and North West, attracting many Covkart regulars along with some of the top local drivers from Sutton’s own championship, and a large contingent of RKC regulars. Drivers were split into Lightweight, Mediumweight and Heavyweight categories with some use of ballast to even things up. The top 4 in each race progressed to a grand final.
Reflecting on the event, Organiser, Chris Czora, said: “The day went really well and received a lot of positive feedback from the drivers. We hope the programme will portray RKC and the sport in a positive light, and hope it will encourage armchair motorsport fans to give karting a try!
“Talks have been in progress with RKC and Sutton Circuit to produce more shows, although these talks are very much in the early stage, we are hoping to get the backing to organise a four-round mini series in 2017, with more drivers taking part.”
The show is due to air on Monday 28th November 2016 on Motors TV, which is available on Sky channel 447.
