Road Racing: James Hillier confirms Bournemouth Kawasaki split
James Hillier has confirmed that he has split with the Bournemouth Kawasaki squad ahead of the 2020 season.
Hillier has been working with the Bournemouth Kawasaki team for over ten years and has enjoyed 14 podiums as well as a TT race win.
In a tweet published on Saturday morning, the Bournemouth Kawasaki team stated that the team and James Hillier will part ways ahead of the 2020 season.
The news doesn’t come as a shock after Hillier made it clear over the course of the 2019 season that he would like to explore other Manufacturers before his career ends.
The 34-Year-Old was present at the Motorcycle Live show earlier this month and told Eurosport’s James Whitham that:
“There’s nothing wrong with what I have and I do believe in it, but there’s a part of me that wants to try something different and I don’t want to get to the end of my career having not done that and wish I had,” – James Hillier.
The 2020 season kicks off in April with Cookstown, the North West 200 will take place in May before the Isle Of Man TT action kicks off in June.
