WorldSBK: Toprak Razgatlioglu Wins the Superpole Race
Razgatlioglu does the double in Portugal after another incredible ride
After Toprak Razgatlioglu won the first race of the weekend yesterday the Sunday morning Superpole race was the next challenge for the riders. Jonathan Rea started from pole once again, with Razgatlioglu and Lowes alongside him on the front row.

When the lights went out to kick off the final European race day of the season Razgatlioglu grabbed the holeshot. Rea and Alvaro Bautista both sat in behind the Yamaha man on lap one. Lowes was looking all lap long to help his teammate by making a move for third on Bautista.
Bautista blasted his way into first place after passing both Razgatlioglu and Rea at the start of lap two. However, Razgatlioglu was up for a fight as he found his way back in front of Bautista. The teammates of the Championship contenders were having a battle of their own for fourth, while the battle for the Championship raged on at the front.
Bautista may have a rocket ship down the straight but Razgatlioglu was leaving him behind through the corners. At the end of the third lap Rea set the fastest lap of the race as he was chasing down Bautista and Razgatlioglu.
Bautista fired his way alongside Razgatlioglu into turn one on lap five, but the Yamaha man held onto the lead on the brakes. A carbon copy move was pulled on lap six and seven, but both times Razgatlioglu kept the lead.
With four laps to go Garrett Gerloff crashed out of ninth place after battling with a BMW trio. Following on from his crash the American was transported to the medical center for a checkup.
A massive moment for Bautista with three laps to go as he nearly lost the front trying to pass Razgatlioglu! After keeping his composure the Spaniard managed to keep Rea and Lowes behind him.
On the final lap the battle for eighth was hotting up as Michael van der Mark, Loris Baz, Xavi Vierge, Phillipp Oettl and Iker Lecuona scrapped it out over the final two points scoring positions.
It is two out of two for Razgatlioglu as he wins again in Portugal! Joining the Yamaha man on the podium was Bautista and Rea once again!
However, Razgatlioglu made his first mistake of the weekend as he broke his trophy after the race!
