
WorldSBK: Toprak Razgtalioglu wins the Superpole Race in Argentina
After 10 thrilling laps it is Razgatlioglu who claims the second victory of the weekend
Yesterday Alvaro Bautista was victorious in race one with Jonathan Rea and Axel Bassani on the podium with him. For the Superpole Race Toprak Razgatlioglu started from pole once again with Rea and Bautista alongside.

As the lights went out for the sprint race it was Razgatlioglu who took an early lead into turn one. The top three in the race stayed the same as the grid as Rea and Bautista follow Razgatlioglu on the opening lap.
On lap three Rea pounced for the first time and took the lead off of the Turkish rider. Bautista was still sat behind both Champions in third. Further back Alex Lowes was on the charge as he passed Loris Baz for sixth.
On lap five Rea set the fastest lap of the race and had a commanding lead over Razgatlioglu. A battle for fourth began to unfold with Michael Ruben Rinaldi, Iker Lecuona and Lowes all began to line each other up.
On lap six Rea threw away his lead as he ran it wide and let Razgatlioglu and Bautista through. The Northern Irishman demoted himself to third and was in the clutches of the group battling for fourth.
Three laps to go and Bautista took the lead for the first time. However, Razgatlioglu came straight back at Bautista who ran it wide.
A carbon copy of the last lap as Bautista returned to the lead of the race with two laps to go. Razgtalioglu was not going to let Bautista get away as he tried to pass the Spaniard into the next corner.
At the start of the last lap Razgtalioglu returned to the lead into turn one as he passed Bautista on the brakes. Rea was looming large in third as he caught the battling Yamaha and Ducati.
Razgatlioglu takes victory in the Superpole Race after a hard fought battle with Bautista! The reigning World Champion became the most successful Yamaha rider in World Superbike history with this race win.
