WorldSSP: DeRosa switches to ORELAC Racing for 2021
Raffaele DeRosa is leaving the MV Agusta Reparto Corse to ride Kawasaki machinery with ORELAC Racing VerdNatura, who are making their return to the World Supersport category.
DeRosa is set to ride the Kawasaki for the first time with the Orelac run team at the Circuito De Jerez winter test.
Going into his seventh season in WorldSSP, DeRosa will go into his 2021 championship campaign stronger than ever coming off the back of a successful 2020 season where he bagged 4 podiums to add to his collection of 12 in total in the class.
The former European Superstock 1000 rider ventured into WorldSSP in 2013 on a Honda CBR600, which he eventually took to the podium in 2014.

“This year 2021 is like starting from scratch. The whole weight of the team is on my shoulders and we wanted to start strong and high. That is why we decided to bet on Raffaele, a rider with great experience on the track and who, as can be seen in his results, It is capable of giving us great results, as well as giving us a lot of serenity, effort and work. Together we will be able to get where we propose, because we want to take our team to the positions it deserves, we have been working hard for many years and it is time to start collecting all that we have been sowing, so we trust that he can do it better than anyone.”
